New feature request: Banned list, Remote viewing

Hi

I've been using this for a while now and two things that I would like to see are:

1. As chat owner, I'd like to know who has been banned from my chatbox, which of my moderators banned them, for how long, and what the reason was (if one was entered). This is to keep tabs on my moderators to to curtail any sort of moderator abuse.

2. It would be nice if there was a way (other than refreshing the chat constantly) for a chatbox owner to view the chat without HAVING to sign in to it. The problem I find now is that once I log in to see what people are saying, everyone in on their best behavior. I'd like a BIG BROTHER sort of thing where I could watch the main room without having to log in.

:) ok did u ever try to login as a guest using the $ icon thats what i do i create another user and i take the automatic login off that way u have time to change ur name and login as a guest like for exemple $ goku like that and u can see if they are doing a good job or not just if someone ask u something act like u dont know nobody thats all.:cool:

I've tried this. Problem is that most of my moderators have me on their friends list :S. How stealth is that really if no matter what name and icon i log in under, I'm still showing up on their friends list.

While I'm here:

- I'd also like to see a feature that allows the Owner to "permanent ban" to the extent that that person can't be unbanned by any moderator.
- How about a Owner defined filter list. I'd like the option to exclude certain words from the chat. More specifically I have a problem with other people spamming our chat box with their chat box URL's and websites; it would be nice to be able to block the repeat offenders to where the URLS either don't show up or get garbled.
- Owner viewable stats would be nice
- Flood protection; for people that type in multiple smilies.
- Automatic banning, say after two kicks, someone is automatically banned on the third; resets each day.
- A better friends list. Broken up into FRIENDS, PEOPLE THAT I'VE BANNED, or having it so that I can create my own categories. Also, a text field where I can write some short notes to myself about each contact. People change their nick so often that even if they're on my friends list, I have trouble keeping track of and remembering who they are.

If you forever-ban somebody (0 hours) as an owner then only owners can un-ban, not mods.

Flood protection is already in place. If a user sends too many messages in a short ammount of time they will become Banned. Also max is 10-smilies per message so smilie spamming protection is also in place.

Your other ideas are pretty good but we'll just have to wait and see if they add them!

i would like to suggest xat team could add a feature like moderator must login as register user to become a moderator so do the owner. It simillar like mirc system, the moderator must verify their nick before gain the moderator option.

The other thing, please add feature to kill nick. So if somebody used our nick we as a register used can kill the nick or the nick must be verify if not it will change automaticlly. Hope the xat team will take note for these request.
