How Can I Give someone main owner without giving out password?

Simply, Copy the Extra Features Page, then send them the url to there e-mail, for chat it will not show!!!! Only for E-mail Works! So now your new main owner cannot reset, change password and make you worry! So its very simple.

I've seen accounts restarting and staying the same before. But my computer had crashed, and my account restarted. The bad thing is, my name and picture keep on changing into the noobie names and pics. How do I keep it on one name and pic.?
Or, how do I keep it onthe same pic. and name as before?I would like to know that as well. It is a pain to keep having to make a new account every time / reset the pass / etc .. I would like to feel that this chat program is more secure and reliable than it is ..

ok this was just what i need to tlak about i was the owner of my own chat box then one time my comp crashed and now my pic and name changes and i cant keep admin:(

Settings
Put the bar all the way to the right
You keep accounts

say that the chatbox creator got a different computer, and couldn't use his owner capabilities when he got on, because of his differenent ip address. How can the creator get back to being an owner if the only person that can make people owners is himself while he's on his old comp, which he no longer has.

This is the case of 1 of my friends and his chatbox

well.. why is that there are times that when i visit a room i was one of th ownes, but when i got back.., i was banned?... when i ask them after i was un banned they told me that no one has banned me..:confused:

That is a glitch, it happens to me some times...
It could happen that way, or it could be the other way around ( You're an owner, you log out.. log back in and you're banned..) Just refresh the page, or log out, and log back in..

how come i can;t find my way back chat room i've been before and how do ichange my iamge and name perm......no body has helped mefor ages and plan to just leave this site as it is to hard to get help

This is so frustrating. I posted in the first page of this thread and here I am back once again because once again I lost all my powers. I swear finding the answer on this forum is even more of a hassle than trying to get admin back in the XatChat. I went and got FlashChat for $5 and it is well with it but then I came back to XatChat to log in when my host at urldownload stopped supporting smf forums which my Flashchat was hosted in ....

So here I am again trying to figure out XatChat .. grrr... Is it just me or is it a huge security issue that it is so easy to guess the password and take over admin without any verification of who you are? Just guess the right password and it is assumed you must be the admin? Ha!

Also I would rather just stick with FlashChat so how can I completely delete my account at my XatChat? I would hate someone else logging in and pretending to be me. There should be a way to terminate as anyone can log in as you from anywhere in the world yet you can't log in as yourself .. seems pretty random to me... which doesn't make me feel very secure.

-Updating on The Guide-Umm... so where is this "guide"?? I went looking for this so called Guide but all I found is a Guide to Spicing Up Your XAT Chats (http://community.xat.com/showthread.php?t=1588&page=3) and where to paste the code for newbies... So umm... when you said "Updating on The Guide" .. was this supposed to be in answer to the question about losing admin access to our own XatChats?? Also the search feature sucks as it uses Google instead of just searching these forums so the results are in the thousands ...

Okay thanks to the moderators in the XatChat who helped me.

Seems there are always helpful people in http://xat.com/help

who said "go to your own XatChat page" and login.

How? Your XatChat page url will be like http://xat.com/web_gear/chat/editgroup.php?GroupName= and in upper right corner there is the "edit" link. Then login with your password ***ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU ARE LOGGING INTO YOUR OWN VALID PAGE*** and click on ChatBox Settings. This will give you back your admin powers.

Did I get this right? I want to make sure as this is the 2nd time now I have referred back to this thread for answers and feel it won't be my last. I do kinda wish I felt more secure with this method of admin power retrieval. Will this be improved in the future? Just wondering.
