Show when somone is typing?

When people are typing there online now icon should blink or something to show that they are typing. Why? So you dont think people are ignoring you. I allways think somone is ignoring me and then all the sudden they post this huge paragraph. So.... It would be nice to be able to see when somone is typing...
Especialy my one freind whos computer frezzes alot and i cant tell if theyre typing or if the computer died or something...

Im talking about them just not paying attention

it would be realy convient to see when ppl are typing
