View Full Version : Chat Box Error.

A friend that is trying to chat on my chatbox is having problems connecting to it.

The error message is....

Connection Problem. You could try to start the chat again, Sorry. (F)

We have gone through numerous things trying to fix it. First we checked flash player and hers is the exact same as mine. She has another PC in the house and it connects fine on that one. So we compared internet settings. The internet settings are identical. She has tried pinging (mentioned in another topic) and it came back "Host Unreachable"but it works on the other computer so I highly doubt its the ISP.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

MY FRIEND HAS THE SAME PROBLEM WITH ON OF HER LAPTOP... WHAT'S WRONG?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?............ PLEASE HELP US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If it works on one pc and not another its almost certainly a firewall problem. Or maybe spybot added xat/xatech to blocked sites.

she hasn't spybot installed and her firewall is unable :S

Does she have the latest version of Flash installed?

What computer is she running on?

Was she able to access the chats before? If so, what did she do before they stopped working?

I have cable internet. Sometimes when I don't have a good connection , lower than 3 bars, I get the same error ( f ).. Have you thought that maybe if they have dial up , or a slow internet connection , this might be whats doing it .. If I wait till I have 4 or 5 bars I get in fine ..

Just trying to help , I saw this and thought I could share thats happened to me , and what I do to fix it .. :)
