Visitors/Friends?

I've just "created" a chatbox of my own... :D
Now I'm wondering: what does it mean FRIENDS and VISITORS?
Can I select them?

Visitor's list includes the list of people that are in your chatroom. If they're red then they're offline and you can still ban them.

If you meet friends in xat, you may click their name and click Add To Friends, then at any time click the Friends button to view when they're online. If they are, you may click their name and click Private Chat and talk to them, even if they're in another chatroom.
