How about getting some nationality flag icons that can optionally be inserted next to someones nick, front, back, wherever. I see a lot of people asking "is anyone from ________ (insert country here)?
That way if you entered a chat, you could quickly see if someone else was from your country.
Again, I'm not saying that it should be set for everyone automatically, I'm saying that it should just be another "smiley" or XAT "icon".

is this your idea http://i31.tinypic.com/344vchz.jpg ?
I find it as a nice idea, but the flag needs to be smalled then, or the icon holding the flag in a small size, and then if you want to know what is it click on it and it show country, maybe that can be it, except when theres events like St.Patrick's then it will be gone and back. How about that?

Yeah flag smilies might be better. If we tie up the icons then it cant get dressed up for holidays.

True, but say on special flag day or so, flag icons can work ;)

Well every flag might be hard/tie up space in the smilies list. I think it would be cool if it was a registered-only smile that changed depending on your Language Settings (http://xat.com/language), although that's just an idea...

Yes, like Chris said. I was thinking flag "smilies"; optional flag smilies. I just pulled that off the internet. I too was thinking something smaller.
