Hi,
I was wondering for those chat owners who have subscribed can have the ability to remove the ads placed on their chats, I for one find these sex ads to be very annoying, and a lot of my members feel the same way too.
Maybe we could purchase Ad-Removal Credits?
All I know is I want my ads removed.
thanks,
Tom :)

No, This is a bad idea. These ads may be annoying but they are used for certain reasons.

If im correct it think its used for money or profits, Letting that site advertise on the site. Something like that. And notice that there are different ads for different chats, many anime chats have some type of ad for a DVD for some anime show or maybe a game or something like that, when others like maybe a emo chat it will have a vampirefreaks ad.

If I'm correct, XAT places ads on their chats to gain their own revenue. Now, my suggestion was that we would pay XAT money for Ad Credits, and after every so amount of views a certain amount of ad credits would be deducted. When they ran out, the ads would return, this would allow XAT to continue to make revenue even from those chats who have paid to have their ads removed.
Hope I cleared that up.

Ahh i get what you mean now. Yeh actually that could be a good idea, but it kinda depends on the revenue they get.

Okay, xat gives us free chat boxes, and they have to earn money somehow. So giving the main owners a percentage of the revenue would be like someone staying in your hotel for free, PLUS you giving them money every night they stay. Am i making sence? Xat needs to make money somehow.

I don't think this would be possible because Chris and Darren place them there so you can be Brain Washed into buying that stuff. (LOL JK) They put them there to make money because it takes some cash moneyz to run Xat if you didn't know. But there are some FireFox Add-ons like Adblock Plus that can block them from your Browser. :)

This MIGHT be a good idea if there was a way to do..to my knowledge there isn't any way to remove the ads right now. And while I agree the ads, despite whatever they may advertising, can be annoying at times, they're not that big a deal,it's not like they hinder your ability to chat in anyway.Plus, why would you want to PAY(whether it be money or xats) just to have an ad removed from your chat just because you think it's annoying, even though it doesn't stop you from chatting in any way? ALSO,think of all the chats on Xat..people would most likely flood to pay or whatever just to get a simple ad off their chat..Xat would have their hands full and probably wouldn't even be able to keep up with them all! It's just an ad..it's annoying,yes..but it doesn't hinder your chatting ability, all it does is sit there and be what it is..an ad. So,why not just make the assumption Xat has placed ads on chats for a reason? I mean, this is just like the anti-phishing warnign window that pops up when you click a non-Xat link on Xat. That's annoying too,but Xat has also placed it there for a reason. In short,as the old saying goes...''If it ain't broke,DON'T fix it!''

I like the idea but thats how xat makes money to maintain the servers and keep up with the new powers ect they also make their money from xats ect so i think their could possable be a power for like 5000 xats and it takes the ads off your chat or you get a power so the ads just dont show on your screen

I really don't know why people make a big deal out of the advertisements that are shown on the chatroom. There's only a probability chance
inappropriate advertisements would show but there's a highly chance that it doesn't show them. Although it can gain Xat revenue towards the
idea that people been posting but it concerns me, do you really want to make a big deal out of advertisements that are always shown? Well
that's just my opinion but you guys might have other opinions about it. It shouldn't be a power, it should be listed under, "Chatbox Settings".

Let's see here...I agree.

I agree again. As I said in my previous post..they're just ads,and all they do is advertise..they don't hinder your ability to chat in any way. Annoying they may be,yes, but why make a big deal out something that does NOT even keep you from chatting? I repeat..''if it ain't broke,DON'T fix it!''

The ads are annoying but dont make a big deal... xat speand ALOT of money on running the survers and chatboxes and need the money to pay for all of this... and although they seem to be makeing a hell of alot from the powers at the moement the ads are still more effictive becouse EVREYONE can see them and ignore them x] or even block them if they wish

I agree with again, with TVkid's post. Yes the ads are annoying, but there's just no sense in backing a big deal out of it bu trying to get a power to waste xats/money to buy to get rid of them..just ignore the ads and pretend they're not even there. Unless someone makes a post to dispute this, they don't harm anyone's ability to chat. So just pretend the ads aren't there, instead making a fuss about them.
