Hi - I have a registered copy of Image Optimzer professional (3.51) which I have been using happily since 2003 and now when I try and launch it I get an error message that it has encountered a problem and needs to close. I can't copy any of the text in the data dump unfortunately.

the same happens when I try and launch the basic version too.

I have just updated Win XP Home to SP3. Might this be the problem?

I have backed up copies of the install/setup files and licence information for
xatio.exe
xatshowi.exe
xatwso.exe

and release codes for both the basic and pro versions

If I reinstall - which file is the Pro install file?

Many thanks.

Have you checked to make sure Image Optimizer is compatible with your current version of windows?

The Image Optimizer works only for Windows® 95/98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Vista systems.
If you have one of those systems.. then try downloading the free version. (http://www.xat.com/xatio.exe). When you download this, open the file.. and you should see 4 files "xat.com Image Optimizer", "Uninstall", "Image Optimizer Help", and "xat.com Professional Image Optimizer". This should give you all the versions of Image Optimizer you said you have in your post.
If this still does not work, then.. try e-mailing xat at info@xat.com with the subject "xat".. in the e-mail, tell them about your problem.. maybe they'll be able to help.
Hope you fix this problem!

Once you get them to work, re-enter the release codes you have to get the full version again..
