Every time i set up my chat box on my web page and im the owner of the chat box and my name is in yellow ,and when i turn off my computer and i go back to the chat box,My name is something like smoochieface, bubble boo etc. and my name is in green, and i also see my previous name that i started out with when i install the chat box and that name is red(offline).

So what do i do about this

Hi,

Your name should be stored, it sounds like you are being allocated a new user id, everytime you start the chat box. There are a few reasons why it might be doing this:

1. Flash Cookies Disabled or set too small

Right click on the chat box on the background below the user list and select Settings, chose Local Storage (folder with a green arrow) and move the slider up to at least 100K.

2. Flash Cookies are being deleted

When the internet cache is deleted the flash cookies could be deleted at the same time. I imagine this isn't the problem here as you say its happening every time.

3. We have seen this with AOL Browser once before? What browser are you using?

Please let me know if this solves the problem or not.

Darren

Did these work for you?

Yes.

Yes.

Click the Edit button.

Click the Extra button.

This will take you to the edit page on the web.

Bookmark this page and make sure you save your bookmarks before you reinstall windows.

me confused too as I think today is the first time it has acted up like that.I even got a PM asking me where messages were that someone typed in chat box.I had someone come say they needed prayer so I typed a prayer and next thing I knew it was gone and yesterdays messages were there instead, very strange!

oh my,I feel like I'm losing my mind LOL

I clicked the lil red x's to remove messages and left a message for my members of my forum and once again, its back to showing yesterdays messages only.It is having a MIND OF ITS OWN today!!!!

Anyone else noticing this problem? Please tell me yes!
