Persuade real friends to go there
Get a good background (not inappropriate or you will be de-listed)
You need 2 chatters to appear on the random list (you and friend will do)
Make your group about a special topic that you know something about
Make sure your mods are friendly and helpful
Try to get another group to put your group on their group tab (but do not annoy them)
Make friends on other groups
Put your chat on a popular page
Choose good tags for your group so you can be found on search engines
