I've had a few members come into my chat room that have been rather unstable. I've wanted / needed to contact the police about certain things going on in their lives, but i have no way of tracking these people.
Is there any way to view a user's IP address through this system?
I know that chatango and various other chat systems offer this feature to the mods.
Thanks

Yes, I'm sure there is a way of tracking an ip address. But the offense must be suitable. If you have been threatened or harassed in a chatroom, then please pm either me or chris. We can give you more information on what to do next.

Well - it wasnt over an offense. There was a woman in the group who was threatening suicide. If I had the ip, i would have been able to find out the general area she was in, contact the authorities in that area, give them the ip, and have them check it out.
I'm threatened and harrassed daily in chatrooms - but i dont care about that. That's what the 'ignore' button is for.
