Animated Avatar ? Disabled ?

Hi all again.


Well, a few months ago, I tried to get an animated avatar.

The first n00bish try (already supposed that this won't work :p ) was creating a GIF file, 30x30 px, uploading it and adding it as profile avatar. As supposed, only the first image was seen.

So I created an animated .SWF file (same as the .GIF one, just converted), uploaded it and set it as avatar.
Well.. it worked, my avatar was animated.
BUT: The quality of the cbox changed to Low for everyone. If I remove my avatar, it's on High again. And setting the quality to High during the use of my animated SWF avatar, a auto-switch will be forced when a few seconds passed.

And today I just tried the same again.
GIF - Only first image will be displayed.
SWF - Such a gray box avatar appears, like by setting a page as avatar.


So.. is there any way to get an animated avatar? Will such a feature be available soon?

Animated avatars are disabled for a reason. .SWF's allowed you to get animated avatars AND get music in your avatar if you knew how. So they removed this and only allowed images.

All Animated avatars has been dissabled for a reason, like other swf avatar can turn your chatbox in low quality.
and all of the chatters inside are affected also it will turn into low quality.

and other .SWF are annoying and can cause your computer in freeze sometimes or lagging.

I was sad to see the SWF option go. It's too bad there were so many problems. I got a kick out of my head banging avi.

It was a good thing that the SWF's Were removed. This would've Slowed my computer....well actually probably freeze it and im sure it would do the same too.

but if you are subscribed you sorta have animated avatars

Yes, although subscriber pics are not packed with animations, so no lag or freeze.
